Many people may not know that the real colour of the sun is not yellow or orange. According to the new research of science the sun's colour is white, with a CIE colourspace index near (0.3,0.3), when viewed from space or when the sun is high in the sky. When measuring all the photons emitted, the sun is emitting more photons in the green portion of the spectrum than any other. When the sun is lower in the sky, due to atmospheric scattering makes the sun yellow, red, orange or magenta when we see from earth.

Scientists think that the Sun started from a very large cloud of dust and small bits of ice about 4.567 billion years ago.[15]
At the centre of that huge cloud, gravity caused the material to build up into a ball. Once this got big enough, the huge pressure inside started a fusion reaction. The energy this released caused that ball to heat and shine.
The energy radiated from the Sun pushed away the rest of the cloud from itself, and the planets formed from the rest of this cloud.

The Sun lies close to the inner rim of the Milky Way's Orion Arm, in the Local Interstellar Cloud or the Gould Belt, at a distance of 7.5–8.5 kpc (25,000–28,000 light-years) from the Galactic Center. The Sun, and thus the Solar System, is found in what scientists call the galactic habitable zone. contained within the Local Bubble, a space of rarefied hot gas, possibly produced by the supernova remnant Geminga, or multiple supernovae in subgroup B1 of the Pleiades moving group. The Sun travels relative to other nearby stars. This motion is towards a point in the constellation Hercules, near the star Vega.

You might think what is the solar wind. The solar wind is wind from the sun. It is a stream of charged protons, electrons and plasma shot out of the Sun. The wind is shot out at hypersonic speed, so fast that it can travel the whole length of the Solar System, nearly 1 light year and create the heliosphere. The particles are dangerous to astronauts and spacecraft. The Earth's magnetic field absorbs or soaks up a lot of the solar wind causing the aurora, the Northern lights and Southern lights.
